Tangled Hair Woes
If you have girls, like I do, you will have most probably had to deal with this one...tangled up doll hair. And the younger your daughter(s), the more tangled the doll's hair. And of course they don't want to play with dolls that look like someone picked them out of the dumpster!!!! Convenient way they have of forgetting who made the dolls look that way in the first place right???? But hey, you are only young once....and I didn't want to pass up on the opportunity of becoming SUPERMOM!!!
So, the whole of last week has been fashion week for the dolls. I've been tripping over hair salon set ups all over the house. And all the dolls are having their hairs done, and Rapunzel didn't want to be left out of all the fun. But there was one problem. Her hair looked like this...
Not bad do you say? Take a look at this...
Sad right? So like the SUPERMOM that I am, I looked up on the internet about untangling dolls' hair. After about 15 mins of reading a couple of blog posts and checking out a couple of websites, I set out to untagle the poor doll's hair.
So here is what I did and what I used...
First I washed the hair with some mild shampoo (I used Johnson & Johnson's Head to Toe Body Wash). Then, after patting it dry with a couple of paper towels, I applied some conditioner to the hair (I used Garnier Whole Blends smoothing leave in conditioner). I just used these two products because I had them on hand. I guess any mild shampoo and conditioner will work as well.
Then, after the conditioner, I began to slowly comb out her hair. It was not quick and it wasn't that easy, and there was some hair loss involved...
This is honestly the amount of hair that came off! Not too bad huh?
So, to continue, after about 20 mins, I was done with the hair. It was completely detangled and looked sleek and shiny! I was totally pleased with the end result, and of course, SUPERMOM did it again!!!
This is the combed out but still wet hair!
And here is the final result after the hair dried out completely...
